Featured SJ guitar from Froggy Bottom

This body of this beautiful SJ – modeled after the Gibson Guitar Southerner Jumbo – is made of perfect, straight grained, pre-war Brazilian rosewood (from the C.F. Martin Company) and features our finest, more than forty-year-old Adirondack spruce.

The instrument’s mammoth ivory heel cap and end graft have one of our last two sets of Petria Mitchell’s engraving work: a Whitetail buck on the heel cap and a New England forest on the end graft. The other final set of Mitchell engravings is to be found on our other featured guitar, the H-12 #1450.

The top of this SJ is lovingly decorated with Paua Abalone trim including the fret board extension. The fret board is marked with our #7 inlay pattern done in colorful green abalone. The solid headstock has an overlay of Brazilian rosewood that matches the back and sides and our nickel-plated, hand engraved Waverly tuners (made especially for Froggy Bottom Guitars and featured on our limited edition 40th Anniversary guitars).

Built to be played with either light or medium gauge strings, this is a creme-de-la-creme example of the most musically versatile guitar that we make.

This featured instrument comes with a strong and light, state-of-the-art carbon fiber case custom made for us by Hoffee Cases of Illinois.

Price: $24,500.
