Froggy Bottom Model C with engraved mammoth ivory heelcap

This classically-inspired concert guitar is built with quintuple-A Brazilian Rosewood that was harvested in the 1920s, when this body style ruled the steel string guitar market. The Rosewood is exceptionally well figured and dark chocolate in color; the top master grade Adirondack Spruce.

This handsome guitar is ornamented with abalone trim for the fretboard extension on the top and a one-of-a-kind Petria Mitchell mammoth ivory heelcap engraving that features two doves and an olive branch.

The slotted headstock is fitted with engraved gold Waverly tuners. The fretboard markers are our #7 Fleur-de-Lis pattern done in green abalone. This instrument has a traditional pyramid-style bridge of Gabon Ebony. The peghead overlay is also Brazilian Rosewood.

Primarily regarded as a finger-style guitar, it can be played with picks or a flat pick as long as it is not pushed too hard. The volume and balance of this instrument are exemplar of Froggy Bottom Model C guitars.
