Michael "Moose" Raymond, Froggy Bottom Shop
Even though he came through a musical family, took up the bass at thirteen and started gigging with “a real grown-up country band” at fourteen, trained in electronics, became a builder, then a contractor, then a master carpenter doing commissioned woodwork for artists and architects, Moose says he is pretty sure what closed the deal for him at Froggy Bottom was that he “had a ponytail and a golden retriever.”
Moose built and ran a 24 track studio in New York, recording Sesame Street features all day and Jazz and R&B all night. He’s lived all over the U.S., toured, started a sound reinforcement company, toured some more… This doesn’t all fall out of him at once. It takes awhile.
He’s happily ensconced in the Froggy Shop and lives next to Mt. Washington with his partner Cynthia and their boys Ishaan and Eben. And that retriever.
