2021 Raffle Terms and Conditions

Unlike many raffles with a set date for the drawing, this raffle will end with the sale of all 1400 tickets.

We estimate that the drawing MAY take place on December 15, 2021, but it could be sooner or later, based on ticket sales.

The raffle  will benefit Shobu Aikido Vermont and William Gleason.

The prize, a Limited Grade Froggy Bottom Model R14 Guitar, of Brazilian Rosewood and German Spruce, valued at  $20,000.   Delivery must be within the United States.


2021 Froggy Bottom Guitar Raffle Rules


From September  10, 2021 until 1400 tickets have been sold, entrants may enter the Benefit Raffle for Shobu Aikido of Boston (“Raffle”) by purchasing a raffle ticket from https://www.accelevents.com/e/froggybottom2021.
One ticket for $25, or five tickets for $100.

OFFICIAL DRAWING. When 1400 tickets have been sold the official drawing will take place. The drawing will be done electronically through the AccelEvents.com site.

2. ODDS.   The odds of winning are 1:1400.

3. DETERMINATION OF WINNER. The drawing will NOT be held UNTIL exactly 1400 tickets have been sold. Odds of winning are 1:1400.   The winner will be notified by telephone, mail, and/or email.

4. PRIZE. The winner will receive a Limited Grade Froggy Bottom Model R14 Guitar, of Brazilian Rosewood and German Spruce, current retail value of  $22,519. Shipping via Fed Ex at no charge to the winner.  Delivery must be taken within the United States.  

5. ELIGIBILITY. The Raffle is open to anyone  18 years of age or older as of  February 12, 2020. The Raffle is void where prohibited. Employees and Directors of the Sponsor or Froggy Bottom Guitars, and their immediate families are not eligible to win the grand prize. Immediate family is defined as, through either blood or marriage, one degree of familial relationship (including in-laws and step-family), such as your spouse, your siblings, your parents, and your children. Immediate family does not include other family members (including in-laws and step-family), such as grandchildren, grandparents, nieces, or nephews.

6. WINNER’S NAME. For the name of the prize winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Froggy Bottom Guitars, P.O. Box 246, Chelsea, VT 05038

7. TAXES. All applicable federal, state and local tax associated with winning the prize in the Raffle will be the sole responsibility of the winner.  The sponsor suggests the winner consult his/her tax advisor.

8. NOT A CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTION. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts, and therefore, the price of the entry does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution,

9. GENERAL. Winner consents to the use of his or her name, biographical information, photographs and/or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility qualifications of the winner.
