The twelve-fret Model C is a traditional 00 or concert size guitar, a comfortable 14” wide with a friendly 24 3/4” scale length. This one is in our DeLuxe Grade, of perfectly straight grained East Indian rosewood and German spruce. It’s finished in traditional nitrocellulose lacquer with a tobacco burst top. The slotted headstock wears our “Froggy” logo in green abalone and carries Waverly 21:1 high ratio tuners with butterbean buttons in a nickel finish.
The ebony fretboard has our #5 fleur-de-lis position markers also in green abalone. It has a 1 3/4” nut width and 2 5/16” string spacing on the ebony pyramid bridge. The body trim is highly figured big leaf Oregon maple, the rosette and back seam inlay done in high-figure New Zealand paua abalone.
The voice is warm and clear. As a finger style instrument it’s a stunner, but it also responds very nicely to a flat pick. The neck is a
“C” contour carve, comfortable and versatile. It’s a guitar that’s a joy to play. The overtones are lush and complex; it has that “Froggy” tone…..every note in balance wherever you go on the fretboard.
It sleeps in our standard TKL American Vintage case, Baltic birch, lined with thick padding and green velvet.
